Hello guys, it’s another beautiful Tuesday today and I have decided to share with us, 3 Creative Entrepreneurs that have inspired me in the past one year. I hope we all get inspired.
- Ayokanmi Fakeye (IamKanmi)
The UK based Nigerian comedian popularly known as IamKanmi is one who has gone viral for his comedy skits which he shares on social media especially Instagram and YouTube.
The comedian is popular for his characters Sade, Akanmi D Boy and Daddy. He is the reason why the phrase “bad gang” has become a slang and a hashtag on social media, his style has also been used by brands like Airtel Nigeria to reply their followers on Twitter. Ayokanmi is the first child of four children and the only boy of his family; he had his higher education in the US at Morgan State University.
Ayokanmi never planned to be an entertainer; he actually wanted to become a footballer but later discovered this part of him through some of his friends. When he first started doing online videos, he decided he didn’t want to shoot refined ideas and so he started shooting random ideas because that was the identity he wanted for himself. Ayokanmi’s mother is the inspiration behind the “Daddy” in his video skits and the “Bad gang” catchphrase.
I have been inspired a lot by Ayokanmi’shardwork and dedication.
- Ohimai Atafo
The Fashion designer known as Mai Atafo, is one of the forces to reckon with in the Nigerian fashion industry today. The celebrity designer started his career life in different corporate organizations including Guinness Nigeria where he started his bespoke clothing label; Mai Atafo Inspired that gained media acclamation by a pioneering clientele of mostly celebrities.
He was also a Fashion Editor for Genevieve Magazine, for a brief period.
Mai Atafo has inspired me in his fashion style and the way he dresses.
- Kunle Afolayan
The Nigerian actor, film producer and director is the son of the foremost theatre producer and director Adeyemi Josiah Afolayan, popularly known as Ade Love. After he graduated from school, he started working in a bank while doing some casual acting, he featured in a movie produced by TundeKelani in 1998 after which his passion for acting and film making increased and then he quit his job and moved into full-time filmmaking.
He took a course in film making and education and training at the New York Film Academy. In 2005 he founded Golden Effect Pictures Limited and has since been active in the Nigerian film industry. His movies are arguably one of the best in the Nigerian Movie Industry with high quality pictures, great sounds, interpretation, casting and story line.
I love Kunle Afolayan for his drive to inspire and he has also inspired me into writing my own script.
I hope we are all inspired by these creative entrepreneurs, stay tuned to biempowerment.org for more.
